There are no symptoms for pregnancy...I say this because period symptoms can so closley resemble pregnancy symptoms.

The only pretty accurate symptom to go by is a missed period, which you already have, and if you are pretty regulare on your periods, then the chances are very very high of you being pregnant!!

Some women do not develope as quickly the pregnancy hormone. If you think this might be the case with you, I would take a pregnancy test and if it comes out negative, wait a few more days for your period. If still no period, test again. If still negative, then I would consult your doctor for a Blood test!

Morning urine is the best because it contains the highest amount of the pregnancy hormone. This is because you have not had anything to drink for several hours to dilute your urine.

Good luck and tons and tons of Baby Dust!

You can definitely get accurate results if you're 3 days late. Try using the First Response test....this one can tell up to 5 days BEFORE you miss a period, meaning it can detect even really low levels of HCG. I think there's only like a 5% chance of the test giving the wrong results. It says the exact % on the box, and if you get First Response, you get 2 tests, so you can double check. I think all women develop HCG in their urine, so that shouldn't be problem.

Yes you can certainly test now. To ensure accurate results make sure you do the following:

Test using a highly sensitive pregnancy test with hgc of 25 or less. A good pregnancy test will state its sensitivity on the box.

Use the first urine of the day.

If negative and your periods haven't returned in a week. Test again using the same method as above. If negative again, schedule an appointment with your GP. He will no doubt take a blood test and discuss other potential reasons for your period not returning, for which there are many.

Good luck. x

3 days should be enough to show an accurate result alot of ppl will sat that but personally i would wait 7-11 days after missing your period, if neg try again a week later. if ur positive your preg and dont want to wait that long see a doc and get a blood test, yes its true some women cant get a positive reading on pregnancy tests it is rare but it does happen.
