I am now four days late on my period. I took a clear blue test yesterday morning with the first urine of the day. It was negative right away but I just feel something is up with my body. I've felt sick to my stomach on and off for about two weeks and I've been having trouble sleeping and staying asleep the last few weeks. My lack of sleep and some money issues (I owe my dad about $200 and am not making enough right now at my job to pay him back and pay for everything else I need) has really started to stress me out these last few days and I'm just feeling so drained lately. As I said before, I took a test yesterday morning and it was negative right away. I still have another test and was wondering that if I don't get my period in the next few days if I should take the other one. I am never late on my period but not sure exactly when I would have ovulated. The last time I have unprotected sex with my boyfriend was the 23rd (we don't live together). I know not all women ovulate exactly 2 weeks into their cycle, some had it earlier, and some later so I don't know if I am one of those women or not. My periods are always 28 days apart.
So what do you think is happening and what should I do?

You got it all wrong my dear, ovulation can happen at any time in every woman's cycle NOT just some particular women though every woman is different in body physiology. this could be due to factors such as stress, illness, diet, exercise, meds etc. So no one is exempted from this whether you have the longest or shortest cycle, it doesn't matter.

Back to your question, 2 things come into play here, the fact that you are stressed is a major factor of the late period and or pregnancy, but the fact that the test came up negative yesterday-I believe at 3days late, draws all conclusion that its stress. So relax in as much as you can and test again in a weeks time if period doesn't show up. If its still negative go for blood test,( but I doubt if you are pregnant even) if blood test is negative, the doctor may prescribe something like Provera to trigger the period to start. Good luck.
