ok so i have a very irregular period, so i have no clue when im going to ovulate but i bought an opk today to help me and there is a visible line but its not as dark as the control line. anyways my cycles range anywhere from 23 days to 31 days .... today i am on CD 18 (period on oct. 28th) .... i was wondering if since there is a visible line does that mean i am getting closer to ovulation ?? so should i test tomorrow morning and see if it says anything different?? thanks for your help in advance in new to all this stuff !!

Yes, but test this evening too as well as tomorrow morning....your surge may be coming soon...you are probably experiencing a fade-in pattern (which is what I experienced) so consider yourself lucky!! I'm sure you will see the surge happen tomorrow morning or tomorrow night. Good luck!!

I always have 2 lines present when using opk's of course it is not as dark as the second line the whole month. It technically has to be as dark as or darker than the reference line. You could be getting close though. I notice when I use opk's the line will be light and then start to gradually get darker each day starting about 5 days before ovulation and then it will finally be as dark as or darker than the reference line and then a couple days after ovulation it will start getting lighter and lighter. Keep testing and see what happens. If you have an irregular cycle it is best to start testing on CD 10 and continue until you get a positive. Also use 2 a day. One mid morning and one mid afternoon so youd don't miss your surge. Some women surge less than 12 hours so if you test at 10 am on one day and it is still negative and then wait until 10 am the next it could still be negative and you could have missed it. Visit the website http://www.peeonastick. It has a lot of info and pictures of opks.

the opk test that i use only gives me a faint line so i stopped using it . i rely on cervical mucus and then confirm ovulation by temping. i have irregular periods too so i know how hard it can be to time sex with ovulation. i wld have sex. if you are having a 31 day cycle then this should be the end of your fertile window so hurry up.

you should of ovulated by now............. i would say you have just missed it............. but test anyway ..test line must be stronger than control line for a positive ...and as long as you are having sex every other day you should be in with a chance of conceiving...good luck

i used first reaction and had the comparable concern....ur pregnant. particularly circumstances the dye is lighter and doesnt %. up precise. i presumed the comparable concern...yet i replaced into pregnant. i found distinctive manufacturers use greater dye as against others. Congrats!!! being pregnant is great
