Question:
Could I be pregnant again so soon after a miscarriage? Has it happened to you?

I found out and had a chemical pregnancy on February 18th (2 weeks ago) after only being pregnant for less than 4 weeks. On February 18th, I started to bleed and bled for 6 days. The doc said my HCG level was only 17 at that time and I had a faint positive on a HPT. A few days after, I took an HPT and it was negative. My doctor gave me the green light to try again as soon as we wanted to, and we want to try again immediately! I'm 30 years old and ready! We both have stable incomes, our own nice cars, a huge house and we need to fill it with babies!! We have everything we want except for a family of our own.

We BD'd 4 days into my bleeding and every other day since then. My pregnancy symptoms disappeared after my MC, but have been returning as of last week. I've had dizziness, fatigue (so sleepy I feel like I could nod off in front of my computer at work), indigestion, slight cramping, leg cramps, loose stools - all the same symptoms I had before when I was pregnant. This is not all in my head because I've tried just forgetting about all these symptoms all together, but they are apparent. I took another HPT today, but it is still negative . . . I'm sure it would be way too early to tell. If I count February 18th as my first day of my menstrual cycle, then I am currently on CD 14. Does anyone know if I could have gotten pregnant within the week of my miscarriage? Is it possible? Has it happened to you? If so, do you know exactly when you conceived again? Sorry for the million questions! I'm just so anxious to be pregnant AGAIN!!! Thanks!

I think people confuse a chemical pregnancy with a miscarriage! (I JUST posted a question same as yours almost, check it out!)

A chemical pregnancy there is no placenta, no huge hormonal changes, no baby or gestational sac. You miscarry before any of that forms. Basically all that happens is the egg implants itself and then you loose it withing a week. I just had one on 2/3 and I am in the same boat! My Dr said to go ahead and start trying again too, it was like a late period!

You can get pregnant ANY time during your cycle. You need to chart when you ovulate. Your body will be different than what other womens' bodies do! However, you should not have had sex while you were bleeding, that is leading to an infection risk.

Ok, here is my story. I was due 1/28. Started spotting on 1/30, went to the hospital on 1/31, HCG was at 45. Blood on 2/2 was 37 (not viable) and on 2/3 started full flow (although lighter than my period!). HCG went down to negative on 2/8. SO I heard that you don't chart your cycle from the day you start the heavy bleed but rather the day your HCG went to 0. A miscarriage is not a period, do your body still thinks it's pregnant until your HCG is 0, then everything goes back to normal. And it makes sense to me, so I tend to think it's true. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this. I am a 28 day cycle exactly, so today is my due date if I go from the 2/3 date and yesterday was a BFN on my test. BUT if I go by the 2/8 date, I have 5 more days to go and my test was taken at 8 dpo which of course would be a BFN! Do you chart your ovulation? Do you know when you ovulated? I am at CD 14, so I know I ovulated either the 17th or the 22nd or somewhere in between (I didn't chart this month though). If I ovulated at all that is!

Well..

1) You're young, really - "geriatric" for pregnancy is 35 and up and even then they don't think you're "old" until you're 40 or more.

2) You are supposed to try again AFTER you stop bleeding. To do so earlier risks infection.

3) The pregnancy test should have been negative before you start again, as in give it at least 2 weeks.

4) Yes it's too early to have symptoms again, you could simply not have completed your miscarriage and the old placenta is tricking your body into supporting the placenta and not a pregnancy (why you wait for #3).

Please, next time you have an actual miscarriage and not just a chemical miscarriage wait 3 months to restore your folic acid (folate) levels as well to minimize the risk of a recurrent miscarriage as well as congenital defects - like spina bifida and cleft palate. Three months is so little time to wait to prevent such things.

It would be a fake optimistic. After a miscarriage, your hormones take a even as to get well and your frame might nonetheless "believe" it is pregnant, even though your miscarried. Your nice guess is to retest in one more two-four weeks. The probabilities of you pregnancy once more so quickly are infrequent, however you certainly not recognise. The frame works in humorous approaches mostly.
