with my first daughter i took a test 2 days before my period was due, i didnt use clearblue though i used first response which is suppose to be even more sensitive than clearblue! and it came up negative, i tried again with clearblue 2 days after my period was due and it came up positive :) It may just be that you tested to early, some women produce less HCG than others so it takes a few days longer for a stronger amount to develop to show up on a test.



Test again 2 days after the day your period is due if you haven't started your period by then.
