Very faint positive line when held up to light?

I am 12 dpo, day 30 of my cycle, which is between 30 and 34 days long. I used a First Response test and at first it looks like a big fat negative, but if I hold up the test to the light, I can see a very very faint line. Has anyone used First Response and had this happen? I don't know if I am just seeing the positive line that is always on the test by having light go through the window and I'm not really pregnant? I opened up a new test to see if I could see through it and see lines and I can't. I will test again tomorrow, but I wanted to see if anyone knows about this and can give me some hope... it's going to be a long day until I can test again tomorrow! My breasts are also very sore, I didn't have this with my first pregnancy, but they feel like sore, almost like when I wouldn't breastfeed my baby for awhile and they would get sore. I've never had any breast pain with my period. Thoughts?

Well, I am now almost 8 weeks pregnant, but when I tested almost 4 weeks ago. I was 2 days late for my period and took a test and it was exactly like how you mentioned it. It looked like a BFN, but when you held it under a light you could see a very very very faint line. It was there, but almost not there at the same time. I think you are probably pregnant!!!! =) Hurray!

In most cases, if the manufacturers instructions were followed properly, a faint line is a positive pregnancy test. Generally, any line that shows up is a result of HCG being detected in your urine.

Take another test in a few weeks to be sure, or make a doctors appointment.

I had the same with first respond and clear blue usually if the line is faint but its there its possitive. Thats why i try digital test and it came possitive. also some testes may be more and less sensitive thats why the line may be brighter on one and dark on another. Test again the best at morning use digital. If u cant wait try later but your urine shuld be in your bladder at least 4h. Personally i like clear blue better Good luck and all best for U;)

Considering it is not necessary to hold a pregnancy test up to the light to read it, and the line is very faint, I would say you are not pregnant.

I would wait a week until testing again. There is little point in testing every day.

This could just be the line that would show if pregant. I would sugest buying a different test of going to your doctor for them to check

Good luck :)
