Precum during ovulation?

My boyfriend inserted the tip of his penis into my vagina during my fertile window. He had previously ejaculated, but had urinated since then and did not ever ejaculate inside my vagina. What I'm worried about is that there may have been some precum with sperm in it. Is there still a chance of pregnancy if he did not fully penetrate me?

Theoretically, of course there is a chance of conception if he penetrated your vagina at all. That said, it is highly improbable that you conceived during that brief penetration. First, not all traces of semen actually contain sperm. Second, a previous ejaculation (assuming it was not into your vagina) coupled with recent urination would decrease the chance of semen leaking. Finally, even if you were ovulating and he ejaculated into your vagina, there is by no means a guarantee of conception. Couples literally try for months and even years to conceive with no luck. Relax, you should be fine. But should you miss a period, take a home pregnancy test and go from there. Once again, I would be remiss to say there is no chance. But, in my professional opinion, it is extremely unlikely. Hope this helps and I wish you well.
