This afternoon I took a pregnancy test and it was positive! I was so excited and over joyed but then just to make sure I wanted to take the second one that came in the package. That being said since I just took one I didn't need to pee so I drank a lot of water and then took the second pregnancy test and it came out to be Not Pregnant. So I went out to the store and bought too more but I am trying with all my might to wait for tomorrow morning since they say the mornings first pee is the best. Any advice or experience with this? Thanks!

If you are testing really early, you want to use first morning urine as it has the highest concentration of hcg . . . as you have been sleeping not drinking and peeing.

So, yes - it sounds like you are pregnant and the second test showed negative because you had diluted your urine by drinking a lot of water to take it.

As the cycle progresses the hcg will multiply and then it won't matter when you test!

Congrats and best wishes for a happy & healthy pregnancy!

You are preggers!! Congrats!! You cannot have a false POSITIVE test because the test works by detecting the hcg hormone, which is not present when your not pregnant. You can however have a false NEGATIVE test because of several different variables, for example diluting the urine with lots of water! They say to test first thing in the morning because that is when your urine is most concentrated & will have a higher content of the hcg hormone. Congrats & good luck with you pregnancy!

You should try and limit fluid in-take for 3 hours before taking a pregnancy test.

If you intake excess fluid it can make your urine very dilute and you will get a negative result.

You should also use first morning urine for the best results.

You can also hold off drinking for a few hours and not pee for 4 hours and then re-take the test.

YES!!! the earlier in the day the better, granted there is always the chance you had a false pos (rare) but def wait till in the am and try again, you could also call your dr and ask them to order a blood test. The fluids can dilute the amount of HCG in the urine and if you are very early this can interfere, good luck and GOD BLESS!! I am very excited for you!!!

yes! too much water or any fluids dilute your urine. Your most likely pregnant. So just test in the morning. If you cant wait that long, then go pee, take everything out. Wait 4 hours of no bathroom breaks or drinking, even really eating. Then take it.

Yes ive heard drinking alot can dilute your urine. If you alredy got a positive it is very likely you are pregnant. You rarely ever get false positives but you can get false negatives. Use all your will power and hold off doing the test until tomorrow morning good luck and congrats

It doesnt matter how much water u drink! It just depends how much HCG is in ur urine! Take a test in the early morning!!
