3 days late on my period but..?

Negative pregnancy test about 2 mornings ago..I've heard so many stories of people getting negative tests even a month past their period and ending up pregnant. I hope that's not me!!

When should I test again? I hate seeing a - on my pregnancy tests :( I hope it shows up + soon. I'm really regular and being this late is unlike me.

My doctor recommends waiting one week after testing the first time and if you get a cycle within that week your not pregnant but if not test again when a week has gone by.

I would wait at least 2 weeks. It usually takes that long for the hot to be high enough to show on a test
