Has anyone taken a First Response Digital early pregnancy test and gotten a negative result?

My period is due today and so far nothing yet. Me and my husband just started trying for a baby and I've taken a total of 5 early pregnancy test prior to today and then I took one this morning with my first urination. The test s-=aid -NO but I took apart the test and I swear there was a second line there! It could be my eyes just playing tricks on me or something because I had to stare so hard just to see the line, it's almost as if I made myself see something there when there really wasn't anything there at all. The line, if I was seeing one, wasn't pink at all, it was more of a shadow or a line or a clear line. Has this ever happen to anyone before and then to only find out later that they were indeed pregnant???

I would wait and test again. i took a digital one and it said not pregnant and then got a blood test done and i was sure enough pregnant.

The second line you saw is an evaporation line. The test strip was wet, but didn't react, and when it dries, a faded, faint clear line is left.

As a previous answer responded, you may or may not be pregnant. It is still too soon to tell. Wait a week, then test again. You are only wasting your money testing so often. You must be patient! I know it's the hardest thing ever when all you want is a child =(

If you continue to test negative in a week, see your doctor. Good luck!

It happens quite often. 5 days before your period they are only 56% accurate. even the day before it's only 87%.

Wait a few more days and test again. If you are a week late and still getting negatives then go for a blood test. It's fairly common to not be able to get a positive in early pregnancy. While this situation isn't common I'll tell you anyways, my friend didn't get positive HPTs til her 7th month. Blood tests showed she had plenty of hCg it just wasn't showing in her urine. So yes, it happens but blood tests will show it for sure. Most doctors woood luck.until you are 7 - 10 days late though.

Good luck.

are you sure you took a digital test? bc digital test says pregnant or not pregnant. there are no lines. but what it sounded like you saw was a evaporation line. i took a first response test when i got pregnant and it showed positive the day before my period was due.

i would wait a few days and if theres no show on period, test again. good luck
